"Live" PCT Map (beta)
This "map" represents PCT hikers that have chosen to have data from one of their hiking plans be public. Some hiker's names link out to their personal blog/journal/etc. The positions shown might be completely accurate or completely off depending how closely the hiker is sticking to schedule. This "map" updates every minute. Thru-hikers (people going end to end) are shown in black, section hikers are shown in gray.
To show up on the map:
1) On the "adjust" tab for one of your plans, click the "+Show On-Trail Options" link.
2) Tick the "Use this plan..." checkbox.
3) Save your hiking plan (the map only updates based on your last saved changes).
Your hiking plan must be "active" in that the current date would put you somewhere on the trail based on your plan.
